Patchnotes & Bug Protocol

  • "We will see about that" triggered at the chest in the second playthrough

  • Performance Issues due to not stated graphic settings(?) (example Fabians PC)

  • directx12 is required to play the game (example Lucas’ PC, not sure if fixable)

  • Garret LODs

  • smoke particles attached to dragon when flying

  • intro framerate / artefacts

  • NPCs casting no shadows

  • Questlog sometimes flickering

  • Garret Obelisk dialog circles through other dialog branches when asking to repair the obelisk???

  • Lightmap seams in cave visible

  • Make fire UI to present/big when unlocking

  • checkboxes flickering in menu

  • sometimes dialog audio gets chopped off / muted

  • floor tile puzzle can get stuck in the ground making progress impossible

  • PERFORMANCE ISSUES in the cave

  • note to me: look up foliage actors, might improve glowing crystals?

 

Missing features:

 

  • spawn dialogue sound in 3d space (reverb in cave)

  • optimization

  • antenna for tent with radio unit?

  • voice line for trying the soup

  • sound effect for taking items

  • resolution settings higher than HD / settings for ultra-wide

  • phone for garret to make him text dr. Kanwar, fixing his animations

  • fall damage (or no damage and splash sound if impact on water)

  • scaled down the collision of the floortiles so you cant stand on two at the same time and break the puzzle

  • lense puzzle: can’t insert crystal

  • player cant get out of fire cause of fire damage: big fire bowl blocked, added unconsciousness state

  • inventory not being saved during levels

  • Endings not working due to dialogue update

  • Rise of the Morningstar quest disappears after talking to Dr. Kanwar

  • footstep sound will keep playing when player talks

  • deleted all the blocking volumes in the cave; it's more open-world now

V9 - 21.03.22

 

New Features:

  • Player Character Animaion (walking and sprinting movement)

  • A few new assets in the camp

  • remade the Quest System: Questlog works as intentend, unlocking new quests adds them to the log, UI is functionable

  • cinematics are skipable (use esc two times)

  • Dialogues support voicelines now, jump automatically to the next paragraph and can be skipped (note: not all voicelines are recorded yet, thats why some will play the wrong sound and some diaologues will skip since they are playing an empty sound with 0 duration)

  • New music

  • New temple design

 

Fixed Bugs:

  • Garret is now reliable (at least regarding the obelisk, his character not so much but that's another story)

  • Achievements unlocking after re-entering the desert

  • make fire UI is back and the look at fire UI will disappear when the ritual is ready, so the interactions don’t interfere with each other anymore

  • play again button doesn’t block controls any more

  • Garret can be triggered multiple times

  • Main Menu now includes Credits, Language Menu got a facelift, Video Settings now work (but badly)

  • Questlog jittering

  • Quests unlocking not adding them to the log

  • Look-at-obelisk diappears randomly

  • Audio Settings

  • Morningstar Quest in cave level 

  • Tessellation clipping at screenborder (caves and gate)

  • player can outrun triggered dialogs

  • plant LODs in cave

  • sky sphere reflectioning inside the tents

  • Dialog Sytem Update, now has unlockable dialog options, triggers game-changing-choices and supports audio files(we haven’t been in the recording studio yet so the cues you heard are just examples that indicate that it works)

  • End Screen with your statistics

  • “Environment” behind Portal (if you look back from the Dragon Cave)

  • Player Camera going through walls

  • Player kept moving when entering dialogs

  • VR Controls going crazy

  • climbing on tents

  • Player gets stuck in stone at the middle of the temple

  • Voicelines or Dialogues overlapping

  • Subtitles on the right mural clipped (Voiceline will be altered accordingly in the future)

  • Dialog at obelisk stop if player moves a bit (increased the radius, you can still cancel it if you ran away, thats intentional)
